LIA MPLIOUMI
Painter– Engraver
Lia Mplioumi was born and raised in Elassona. She studied both Painting and Carving, having accomplished to excel in both these courses and graduate with honours. Since 2017 she has been working as a member of the special teaching staff in the department of Carving in the domain of Visual arts in the Fine School of Arts in Athens. Her interest in research has focused on the convergence between Science and Art and the relationship between Biology and Carving. Being an active visual artist, she has participated in exhibitions in Gallery Adam, presenting her personal work twice. Her excellence and distinctive style has been awarded several times in art competions and the Biennale. Holding five awards relevant to art is worth mentioning. Moreover, she has been a member of the Greek association of visual arts, as well.
